"The Whistle Stop pattern is based on the traditional Railroad Crossing Block, a
beautiful block of likely Amish origins that began surfacing around the end of the 19th
century. This advanced beginner pattern plays with colour and repeating shapes that
come together to create a truly striking design. After the original Whistle Stop pattern
was created, I made a new version that was modified to include the central star and
additional row of HSTs and decided to offer the pattern for other quilters to make and
enjoy."

This quilt kit is chosen by Piece Fabric Co.'s Graydon - he is known for his fantastic linen quilts!  Pictured is his original Whistle Stop Quilt throw pillow, and the extension version comes with two additional linen colours, with extras of all colours so that you get to choose what colour is used for the star in the middle. If you would like backing and binding you will need to add:
4.5 yards backing
2/3 yards binding
