"The Whistle Stop pattern is based on the traditional Railroad Crossing Block, a beautiful block of likely Amish origins that began surfacing around the end of the 19th century. This advanced beginner pattern plays with colour and repeating shapes that come together to create a truly striking design. After the original Whistle Stop pattern was created, I made a new version that was modified to include the central star and additional row of HSTs and decided to offer the pattern for other quilters to make and enjoy."

This kit features the Fableism Swedish Holiday fabric, and pairs it with fabric from Art Gallery Fabrics, Fableism Sprout Wovens, and Ruby Stary Society. The kit comes with the fabric needed to make the quilt top only (pattern sold separately from Tessellate Textiles site). 

You can choose to use the same background as Christine, a creamy Fableism Sprout Woven; or, if working with wovens is a new thing for you, choose the AGF Pure Solids option that will give a bit more stability in the quilt and make it easier to piece together.

If you would like backing and binding you will need to add:
4.5 yards backing
2/3 yards binding
