Hello Friends!

How many of you quilters are Make Modern subscribers?

Cover page of Make Modern digital magazine, issue 39

Did you see my quilt in it?? Eeeek! I'm in a magazine!!

Red, navy, and white quilt against a brick wall

This is the Lock Step Quilt by Tara from Stitch and Yarn (Instagram: @stitchandyarn). I've been keeping this quilt under wraps for MONTHS and MONTHS already! I was so excited to be chosen to test this quilt for Tara - it's a quick make with simple, satisfying block construction.  But here's the deal, when you purchase this issue of Make Modern (a digital magazine full of quilting projects), you get a whole stack of amazing ideas from Tara on how to change up this pattern with sashing, new blocks, and alternative layouts.  Its about 43 quilt patterns in one.  Maybe less. Probably not.  You'll have to check. You can do that here:

This quilt went to a dear friend of mine - she works in forestry and these colours just belonged on a quilt that was thrown in the back of the truck to be there when needed.  At least that's how I picture it being used.

I am so excited about this issue of Make Modern, it's full of projects that I actually want to make... let's see how quickly I can actually work through the list.  If you see any projects in the issue that you'd like a bundle put together for, you know I'd love to help with that!  You can book an appointment for a video call and we'll find the perfect group of fabrics for your project!

Geo Glow by Jo WestfootThis is the project that is top of my want-to-make list (which really means nothing... that list is always superseded by my NEED-to-make list).

I've gotten a subscription to Modern Make magazine, and I'm pretty excited to get this fresh bunch of patterns with every issue.  If you're also someone who likes to stock up on patterns and get fresh inspiration, click on the image for subscriptions:
